Além Tanha Tinto Douro DOC 75 cl
Além Tanha Tinto Douro DOC from Quinta dos Avidagos is a Portuguese red wine from the Douro, vinified from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. The cuvée combines classic Douro grape varieties with red fruit, floral nuances, pleasant tannins and fine toasted aromas. Following temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine matures for at least 18 months in French oak barriques. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour. On the nose, it reveals an intense bouquet of red fruits and violet nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with pleasant tannins, fruit, toasted aromas, chocolate and fine spice notes.
Producer: Quinta dos Avidagos
Quinta dos Avidagos is located in the Douro region of Portugal, near Santa Marta de Penaguião. The estate is family-owned and looks back on a long winemaking tradition. The family’s history is closely linked to several quintas in the Douro, whose sites are shaped by steep slopes, schist and granite soils, as well as the Douro River. In the past, the grapes were traditionally sold to Port wine houses before the estate began producing its own wines in 1996. Today, Quinta dos Avidagos combines several Douro vineyard sites with modern cellar technology and traditional elements such as the use of granite lagares. The focus is on wines made from indigenous Portuguese grape varieties that bring together fruit, structure and a clear expression of origin.
