Graf Sauvignon Blanc Alto Adige DOC 75 cl

The Graf Sauvignon Blanc Alto Adige DOC by Kellerei Meran combines the mineral freshness of South Tyrolean mountain vineyards with the aromatic depth of a classic grape variety. Fruit-forward, elegant, and of refined complexity – a white wine that convincingly unites terroir and craftsmanship.

Producer: Kellerei Meran, Marling

The Kellerei Meran was founded in 2010 through the merger of two historic estates: the Weinkellerei Meran and the Bruggräfler Kellerei. Located in the heart of the Burggrafenamt, open to the south and sheltered from the north by the Texelgebirge mountains, the winery works with small and micro-producers cultivating 250 hectares of prime vineyard land. Strong diurnal temperature variations produce intense, fruit-rich harvests. The modern cellar in Marling – equipped with large wood casks and barrique facilities – creates optimal conditions for producing top-quality wines. The wines of Kellerei Meran are ambassadors of a fertile landscape on the southern slopes of the Alps, representing quality, tradition and innovation in South Tyrolean viticulture.

The Graf Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its mineral freshness, the typical elderflower and gooseberry aromas, and a multi-layered, harmonious character. It combines approachability with depth – a wine with personality.

How is the Graf Sauvignon Blanc vinified?
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for five months, partly in stainless steel and partly in large wooden barrels. This ageing method gives it structure and complexity without masking the fruity aromas.

What role do the grape varieties play in this wine?
100% Sauvignon Blanc from 10–20 year old vines in Alto Adige. The well-established vines deliver concentrated, high-quality fruit with a pronounced varietal profile.

At what temperature should the wine be served?
Ideally at 10–12°C – sufficiently chilled to fully express the freshness and aromas without suppressing the wine's complexity.

When does the Graf Sauvignon Blanc 2024 reach its best drinking maturity?
The Graf Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is already showing a harmonious and approachable character. Within its ageing potential of 5 years and more, freshness, aromatics, structure and depth can continue to come together in a balanced way. What does the Graf Sauvignon Blanc pair best with?
Excellent alongside light starters, asparagus dishes, grilled vegetables, fish, and goat's cheese. The wine's freshness and structure make it a versatile companion to Mediterranean cuisine.

What makes the Alto Adige / South Tyrol region special?
