Bourgogne Chardonnay is a classic white wine from Burgundy that reflects the elegant and terroir-driven style of this renowned region. On the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and a hint of stone fruit. On the palate, the wine is fresh, balanced and harmonious with fine minerality and a lingering finish – a typical Burgundy Chardonnay with finesse and clarity.
Producer: J. Moreau & Fils, Chablis
Between Dijon and Paris, on the banks of the Serein – a tributary of the Seine – lies the charming wine region of Chablis, part of Burgundy. Chardonnay thrives exceptionally well on the region’s limestone-rich soils. The success story of J. Moreau & Fils began as early as 1814. Today, the winery is one of the oldest houses in the region. At that time, the young cooper J. Moreau settled in Chablis, where he married the daughter of a local winegrower. From a pioneer in the Chablis region, the estate has become one of its most important producers. Its expertise is held in high regard, as is the unmistakable style of its wines, which are consistently terroir-driven.
